Flash and Perl -sod!
Hi Guys Just came across a tutorial on flash-db.com and its perfect for what i am after. Basically it is a flash file that allows you to edit and save to a text file using a cgi script. However, i have followed the installation and dont seem to be able to get it working. Unfortuantelly the guy who produced it no longer has a site up so no contact. I'm not sure if it's me or if its the script (not 100% when it comes to perl). I was hoping that somebody with a little knowledge would download it and give it a go to see if they have any success. The source documentation can be found at the following URL it doesn't take long maybe 15 minutes to configure and it's potentially a good feature to be aware of. Thanks in advance. http://www.flash-db.com/PerlTut/index.php Cheers Guys PP feel the heat.

THE ONLINE DEMO. You don't need a second opinion to know that the online demo doesn't work. Click the link and try it. Then knowing this, you can't be surprised to find that when you download it and set it up on your own server - it still doesn't work. |

Have you made sure that all the paths in the script are right for your server (path to perl, and path to the writable text file)? Have you uploaded the file as ASCII not binary? Have you set the permission of the text file to writable? These are most common problems ... |
