Looping one element in a scene

Hey guys,

I currently am working on a website that has about 11 scenes. Scene 1 has rotating sun rays with a couple lines of text that fade in, then the subsequent scenes are transitions displaying some artwork.

My goal is to have the animation play through once, go back to Scene 1, and loop that one Scene. I'm working in actionscript 3.0, so this is a three part question. (also, please keep in mind that i'm pretty new to working in flash and even newer to actionscript - so I apologize in advance if this is a mundane question.

#1 - Is it possible to add a listener to the first scene so when it plays for the second time it doesn't advance to subsequent scenes?

#2 - After the second playing of the first scene, I want the sun's rays to continue to rotate, but not have the text continue to fade in (have them at full alpha). Is this done by adding script when I go inside the symbol, or some other script?

#3 - The only work around I can think of right now is to add a Scene 12, and have that scene loop continuously at the end of the 'art show.' This may be the best answer, but without knowing if there are solutions to the questions above, I'll lose the fade-in effect of the text.

Thank you all!

P.S. I've added a picture of the scene I'm talking about - don't know, hopefully that may help. The goal is to get those rays to rotate indefinitely at the point the text has faded-in fully (as shown).
