Hi, I'm making a website for my friend that features pictures of his car so he can give it out at car meets and such. It's going to be a pretty basic HTML site but he wanted me to make it so that when you type in the website it goes to the screen and there is a flash picture gallery that scrolls through 3-5 pictures and a "Home" button on the side. I can do that HTML button and the main page itself, but I have no clue how to do the Flash part. Any help? Here's a reference site that I found. Can't post link, please google Tom Verwest Interiors or TomVerwestInteriors/com He doesn't want the whole fancy blurred image blocking into focus, just fade from one image to another. |

You could probably easily get a flash file at flashden for cheap. To do the flash with the images not dynamic you would import them into the library and make them graphic symbols. You would drag one image up on the timeline in one layer and at the end do a tween to fade, then in another layer you drop the image in timeline and repeat. You don't put in a stop to make it loop. |

yep i'm with jesusfreak101 and fullyenabled, and I'm a flash developer, have been since actionscript 1.0 - my thought is if you don't need flash don't use it, if it's not going to do more than show some pictures, it can almost always be done with just JavaScript and image maps. but.. if you just must use flash, learn pure AS3, its the cheapest way; and it's just what i always tell a total flash newbee. |

Try Q-SlideShow. It is a shareware application. If you plan to create more sites, besides this one for your friend, Q-SlideShow can help you a lot in creating nice image rotations. |
