Chance im wrong, but you not think there called "Flash" sites for a reason. I've never heard or seen on any freeware which would allow you to create Flash files, and if there were i imagine it would be very basic. It would need to allow for a version of action script to code the site. Afraid to say i dont think your going to have much luck on this one. |

there are quite a few opensource apps that you can use to create flash. Flex's flash compiler (mxmlc) is free, but FlexBuilder (the IDE) is not. i LOVE haXe, an awesome opensource alternative to create flash files, i have a few examples on my site of flash that i've created with haXe. theRemix » haXe » flash haXe |

theRemix is on to it. Use the mxmlc compiler, it's free and offered with the Adobe Flex SDK, it's what i use now, you don't need Flex Builder to use it. You do need to have Java installed on your computer to use it, (most people have Java already, Java is also free) You can literaly write an AS file (plain text file saved as .as) and drag and drop it on the mxmlc to make a swf, this is fairly new info, ..there are sites about it......i've got one..... you do need to learn the ActionScript 3.0 language however. You can even use the embed command to embed images, and AS2 swfs into your AS3 swf files created this way, it does not limit you what so ever as far as style and flare or animation. You'll still need photoshop or some other good design tool of course, but now with things like mxmlc compilers AS has enterd a truly programming like relm. There are examples of pure ActionScript 3 in use with the mxmlc compiler, search google. hope this helps |

Quadroland proposes several applications, which can help to create flash navigation, slideshows, news scrollers without Adobe Flash. |
