flash frame rate
i am a complete flash numpty.. what's a good frame rate for a flash animation? i know 24 frames is an animation standard.. but flash comes up with 12fps by default.. which looks bloody awful. is there a happy medium? Last edited by Do Gooder : 20-02-2008 at 08:56. |

they provide the most consistency across the different platforms (apparently) 19 fps is the standard for banner ads. |

Oh right! So is it 19fps for banner ads, and 31 for other web based design? decent web hosting - www.balue.com

kind of, banners need to work on a wide range of processor speeds so a lower fps is considered best |

Try making the blokes head into a button then apply some actionscript. on (release) { gotoAndPlay(2); } And add a stop command at frame 1. Then you'll have a bit of control. And you could try easing the ball in and out on its path. |

The three best FPS rates to be using are 21, 31, and 59. These three FPS are the only rates that perform equally on both a MAC based Flash plug-in and a PC-based one. Most other framerates when run on a MAC will run anywhere between 2-5 FPS slower than it would if run on a PC. |
