3D 'draggable' Floorplan in Flash

Hi Guys,

I have a client that has asked if it is possible to create a 3d plan of a floor with clickable sections/rooms but that is draggable, so that you can rotate the floorplan from within the flash page.

Any ideas on how to acheive this?

My intial thoughts are to create a 3D floorplan using a cad package and export a few images of different angles rotating 'above' the floor plan / map. Then create some code that will allow the user to click and drag to move between these images(therefore creating the illusion of dragging around the floorplan/map)

I have a feeling there is a more efficient method. Perhaps using the 3D engine in flash or perhaps there is already a plugin that can acheive this functionality.

All feedback most appreciated.

Martyn.

Thanks - I will have a look into the functionality of floorplanner.

I am looking for something that I can embed into a flash interactive cd-rom, it appears that you can export the 3D CAD from floorplanner as image files so perhaps this could work if I could create a system to drag and rotate through a series of images in flash.

Any other ideas? Any other good 3d floorplan software? Perhaps using actionscript to create the rotation actions to control a series of images?

What about using the 3D engine in flash - as I only need to create basic walls / rectangular objects - basic colours, etc ? ?
