Help with Flash
Hey, I have a bit of a problem. My boss wants me to create a flash page for our website. I have some experience in making flash banners, but he wants is a little out of my reach. What he would like is to have a interative flash page. For example, you have a picture on the page and when someone runs their mouse over a picture, the picture becomes larger and brings up a summary message about what that picture links to and a link to the page. Like what happens when you move your mouse over the pizza's on this website dominos.com.au/hot_menu/menu.asp?ID=24&pnav=2&snav=24 . I am using Flash CS3. Can someone please point me in the right direction with either a turtorial or some help with a action code for this in flash. Anything would be a great help. Thanks for the reply. I had a look at the website and they had a mouse over turtorial for Javascript but my boss wants it to slide in and out and i found that the Javascript just changed the picture to one pic to another. Thanks again |

Hey johno 84 - If I were creating this Flash page myself, I would load small images from an external file and onRollOver() or something similar display another image which was the same but larger. Does that help at all? |

Just create button symbols with your stuff on different layers - use movie symbols for the different button state layers if animation is needed. Don't know if that's the best way to do it as I use Flash as little as I can get away with but it would work. |

no problemo! by the way, personally I'd try to see if you can buy it off-the-shelf first rather than fannying around trying to get it to work yourself. Otherwise you're re-inventing the wheel. These components are very cheap, like $8 at most, so its not as if its going to break the bank! |
