there will have to be about 100 images on each gallery
I have about 70 on it right now

I don't really want to have to dynamicaly load unload when out of view because that could get messy

Start over.

It's a bit messy, and it may still "wow" your target audience. I don't think you need to start over, but you may consider tightening up the interface a bit. The buttons look at bit 1997.
