Flash and SEO...Has anyone heard of SIRF?
Happy New Year. I am new here, but this is a nice board. I recently heard of a technology called SIRF that let's you create Flash applications with text that is search engine friendly. I cannot find it on Google. What I find is some hardward GPS product, which is obviously not what I am looking for. Does anyone have a URL for SIRF? Thanks, Bruce |

SIFR is not that different from the other flash applications when it comes to SEO friendliness. Because its still flash code but as long as it makes your life easier you can use but make sure to externally reference the flash file so it doesn't make the site code to heavy. |

I think you're wrong. sIFR uses js to switch regular markup and content to dynamically populated Flash SWF files. Given that SE bots, etc… are not js-enabled, they only see the default markup and content, not the Flash alternative. |
