can you make a auto playlist in flash for images?
I had this idea. Maybe somebody has a suggestion on it. Let's say you wanted to set up a sort of empty player that played a couple forms of content. This container would play an image file such as JPEG, defaulting to 8 seconds, and it would play swf files, and detect their timeline automatically. If all the files were the same dimension that it would play, could this be done? Maybe have a random or Alphabetical setting to play in a certain order. Or would it need an XML file to control the order and length. thanks for any suggestions! |

Yes it could. It's basically the principal that most slideshow's out there work on. The only difference being testing for frame length on load. Check out MovieClipLoader and/or do a google search for flash image galleries. Combine with a _totalframes check onLoadInit and go from there. |

belated thank you
I know it's been a long time. This project is still on the back burner, but I wanted to tell you I really appreciate your advice and direction. If you want to hang on to this forum posting, I may proposition you to code this, if you know how and would want to take it on. -mike |
