input field swaps " and @ in firefox - why?
Hey guys. Ive just crated a quiz in flash. At the end of the quiz you have to enter your name and e-mail address into a text/input field. This then submits to a php form which uploads the name and e-mail address to mySQL database. In IE it works fine. But when I view the quiz through firefox, when I input the e-mail address the @ sign on the keyboard produces a " in the field. And visa versa. Someone else has tested this and confirmed it. But it only happens in my flash file, its not like this on other websites etc |

i'd say it's something to do with your keyboard settings within windows/IE/firefox. sounds like one of them thinks you have a UK keyboard and one thinks (possibly) US. Time is really the only capital that any human being has, and the one thing that he can’t afford to lose. - Thomas Edison

We had this a while ago, tried all manner of different set-ups.. it's a problem to do with wmode transparency in the fox. No good get-around, just don't use transparency. meh. 5 1/2 blog » Firefox wmode=transparent is completely screwy and breaks textfields |
