How would you do this?

*moved from help me*

hi. Im looking to integrate my real estate database with some flash. I've got lists of properties etc and wanted to achieve something along these lines

http://www.ericcairns.co.uk/

The main flash that shows recently added properties and provides a link to the property via the 'id'

How would one go about querying and displaying the data from the (mysql) database in a flash such as that..including the fading images etc.

p.s i have image paths stored in the database, so all i need to know is how to query and display...and link.

Cheers

I haven't looked at the examples given so forgive me if this is already is discussed in those examples.

But if all you're looking to do is take the content (text, images, etc) from a database then why don't you have the database spit out XML for you and then just have Flash go through all that beautiful XML and work with that?

^ yup,

use php to query the db and spit out xml. Import this in flash with the standard xml classes.
And use that.
