Flash ripper for osx?

I haven't been on a mac very long. Does anyone know of a free flash ripper for osx?

I'm trying grab some flash elements from a swf on a website.

Help!

what you're looking for isn't a "flash ripper". They're called SWF decompilers.

And no, none of them are free, and none of them are for mac ( at least none that I know of ).

Who are you trying to steal from?

.simplestick -

Thanks. I had coworker who had this software and let me install it. I forgot what it was called. I was on a pc then as well. It was ages ago. Found it was helpful in trying to figure out how certain movies were being loaded and certain effects were being achieved. I didn't use it to 'steal' anything.

Now that I have the right search terms it looks like there are some osx options:

Thanks for your concern. Yes, the thread was locked but it turned out to be a misunderstanding.

I'm not actually trying to 'steal'. I was supposed to do a banner ad for a client that has a swf on their website and they want to incorporate some of the elements into that banner (namely a swirly vector graphic/animation and a sparkle animation). They weren't able to supply me with an fla or the graphics so the issue became that I had to make do with what I had or try to find another way to get what I needed.

Recreating these elements would take far too long and I would lose money on this project (really just end up at a loss) if I had to try to recreate the graphics and animation they already have from scratch.

So I basically thought I could rip out the elements from their site for their banner. But no luck and now the project is on hold until they can supply me with the graphics I need.

I don't know if you've ever done banner work but it's not a great deal of money. I can't really devote 4 or 5 hours extra to a project that is not supposed to take me longer than 2 hours in total.

People have used these rippers to steal my work before so they aren't on my list of favourite things in the world. I understand what you mean though
