I have made my own flash buttons, how do I insert them in dreamweaver. It seems to me that one can only use the flash buttons supplied by dreamweaver?

You should use some HTML code to embed that button on your page.

The most simple way in Dreamweaver, is:

Insert -> Media -> Flash

Are you sure that flash buttons are the way to go?
They're an SEO nightmare, search engines cannot follow them and as such cannot index all your pages, maybe going with a nice image made in photoshop with a rollover?

btw, the easy way to input flash in dreamweaver is ctrl+alt+F
