preload jpg
I'm a little bit confused about how to preload external jpg's with a flash movie. basically, what i'm trying to do is set up a gallery where when someone clicks a button the image loads up. I've got that working fine but at the moment there is nothing showing on screen until the entire image is loaded. Do i need to put the jpg inside a swf movie then load up the swf movie? or in there some more simple way? i'm making the site in Flash $ as well which may affect things. any help would be much appreciated ::: TC Magazine :::

it's ok, i think i've figured out the simple way to do it. just drop a simple movie saying 'Loading' behind the proposed location of the new image. that way, when the image is loaded the 'Loading' sign gets covered up ::: TC Magazine :::
