Wtf

I have a swf that used a loadVars class to pull in some variables from a .txt file. This file works perfect on the desktop and on the server when it is called directly (www.mysite.com/vidoe/myswf.swf) but when I embed it into an HTML page my loadVars class fails. I have troubleshot this down to that it fails only when I embed it in a page, but cannot figure out why. My .txt file is in the same directory (on the same level) as the swf. Anybody know what might be going wrong?

sounds like a linkage problem?

check your linkage properties within the .fla and also the .html

make sure both are relative to document and not absolute.

i know within flash if it is set to site root. then you only put getUrl("video/myswf.swf", _self)
