open flash, import video. export flash. you'll probably also want to look at something like sorenson squeeze. give it a few hours and one of the flash monkey's will pipe up with a proper response. |

I've tried simply importing it and there was a problem... possibly to do with the fact that it was 150mb... Do I need to edit the video to size etc before hand? (no video editing software :P) decent web hosting - www.balue.com

What are you trying to do with the video? Why are you importing it into flash, so you can play it back without using other plugins? or because you've a flash based site you need it to play in? if either of these... Best bet is to convert the video to an FLV file. Then use flashes video component to play it back. You can convert to FLV using a load of different edditing software but the simplest is a copy of quicktime pro and the Flash Video Exporter. http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/fla..._exporter.html Once you've done that check out this http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/fla...deo_guide.html To work out what to do with it. Size is still an issue but you can then manage a progressive download / streaming file (if you have the tech available) to soften the blow. |
