Goodbye little old lady

flash image slideshow
I have a client that wants to have a slideshow of his products on the front page. "cool effects, and it must be in flash" I haven't done anything in flash for years, but I was wondering if anyone could point me to a decent tutorial. I showed him slideshow pro but he didn't want that because "anyone can have that" it just needs to have a backwards and forwards button and a nice simple transition effect - nowt fancy I looked on www.flashkit.com but got a bit overwhelmed by the amount of stuff on there, so I thought someone here might be able to save me some time Christ - this would be a great job if it wasn't for clients! |

I think the outsourcing plan is probably the easiest/best option. Just being greedy - Looked at the previous post, but they all looked like bollox to me. Thought there might be an easy very basic slideshow tut. Why do people want crap sliding in, fading out and flying all over the fecking screen? Load of old bollocks if you ask me. never understood using flash without a good reason. Flash just for the sake of it drives me up the bleeding wall Then again, I'm in a bad mood as it is! |

I did the same thing earlier although you can alter slideshowpro enough so it doesn't look like the default. |

aye it's a bargain - I coupled it together with www.sspadmin.com for a photography site I did so that the client can organise and upload the photos herself rather than having to ask me to do it. Got a nice easy web interface - it's not perfect by any means but it only costs a fiver for a single site or ten bucks for a unlimited license. Definately recommended. AS long as your servers not windows I think the client would notice the preloader and recognise it. I'm trying to convince him just to go with a simple php slide show |
