im currently developing an application in flash which makes use of XML to populate a tree menu

adding contents to the tree menu is not a problem when importing the XML file, but how do i export it? basically, i want to get the structure of the tree menu and send that information to a PHP file, which will then process this data and insert the values into a SQL database

i can do all the PHP/SQL side of things but have become stuck on getting the items from the tree menu into a string to send to the PHP from flash

any help please!
