guys, do i have to be good in actionscript in order for me to make a flash site?
can anyone make a flash site with little or no knowledge about actionscrpting?

If you want to make a good flash site, then yes. Linking up buttons and timeline control is based in flash.

I think you could do animation without much actionscript knowlege, but it is a key comonent to using flash effectivley.

Though I just got paid a heap of money to redesign a web site in flash that a designer fucked up on (because he did not know how to use the program) - unrelated, but learn AS.

Not hard to learn either, just frequent kirupa.com and get a book - took me a few weeks and it has just been up from there (though I did traditional design before).

no. but if you want to do anything good, with any level of interaction, yes!

Get a book, look at tutorials online, ignore all the anti-flash banter, happy days!
