My first break was 'cash in hand' style - so every 2nd Tuesday I'd come in late I got £180 a week in my hand, which probably works out at about 12k. It got me the experience and some portfolio work to get me the next, better paid job and sign off. I'm not even convinced that junior/middleweight/senior always comes down to just so many years experience ..... 'my friend' has 5 years experience 'my friend' sent his CV off when that job was advertised (without any salary mentioned) 'my friend' got a call and went down for a rather pleasant chat 'my friend' was offered the junior position for 13k 'my friend' nearly shit himself and laughed out loud 'my friend' declined the offer and left fuck signatures
