Designer Needed $300 budget
Hey everyone, I usually troll through sitepoint and digitalpoint although it is full of poor designers and time wasters. Basically im after a a design, main page + 1 subpage and coded in to .html/.xhtml The site is for a odds comparison site, please search for ''odds comparison'' in google and view a few similar sites to get an idea on what the design requires. If anyone is interested please reply or PM me with portfolio so we can organise to chat on IM in more detail. Payment will be made via Paypal or if required escrow splitting the fees 50/50. |

Terrifyingly so. And I'm pretty sure you know that too. If not, maybe you should have a look at clientsfromhell.tumblr.com as I think you may fit in well… |

Instead of replying with a useless response perhaps you could give an approx amount that designers on here are willing to work for. Like i mentioned in my first post, i am use to looking through digitalpoint so any amount over $10 is a lot. Although it seems like the employment forum is pointless here, if i was to say i had a budget of $xxxx it would be unrealistic, if i post $300 its too small and if i didnt provide a budget id be wasting peoples time fishing for a cheap designer. |

I'm used to shopping at Argos - can I get a BMW for £50? It's very simple - Have respect for those around you and they will have respect for you. |

Seriously, nobody other than spammers that you would find elsewhere for $2.50 are going to be interested in your $300 budget so you should probably head on back to sitepoint. "I am better than you think I am but not as good as I think I am."

To give you an idea on prices, I recently paid $600 for a one page template (that I used for a CMS), no HTML or CSS, just a .pdf. For that I got the option of two designs, from which I picked one, and got a few revisions. That was maybe a little on the higher end (he is a particularly good designer), but I wouldn't expect to pay less than $400 for that, and even that's pretty cheap. For a decent designer, I would plan on paying about $500 for that. For what you want - 2 pages including the coding, I'd say you should expect to pay about $500 - $800 for a professional designer. You could probably get a student or someone just starting out for $300 - $500, but I wouldn't expect something of too much quality, and the code will probably be so-so. |
