@UK PLC are looking to recruit trainee web designers, we are also looking for an experienced designer looking to move up to a second job.

We have always recruited on the basis of an audition. This year is different since we are going to sponsor the website design competition, and there is a prize for the best designer whither you take our job offer or not.

The competition site is just being built at the moment, but the entry form works.

We are seeking people with design talent.

Not juggling, eating fire etc

though those all sound like fun.

The audition is by creating websites that look great.

And clearly we need some additional talent.

We are sponsoring the competition and are happy to pay the best new designer and it does not matter if they want a job with us.

The audition bit is that it is not about interview, CV, psychometrics or anything else.

It is just about how talented a designer you are, and ideally we want other people to agree with us that you have a special talent.

But surely an online portfolio would show my skills off better than just one competition.

Call me cynical but it sounds like you're fishing for free publicity and labour.

Great but what happens with other designs that don't win the competition ?
Are You allowed to use or sell them ?
