I am in search of a CMS to work with my pre-designed HTML sites. I am not sure of a budget for this project (since I have never done anything like this before). I have this posted on GetAFreelancer also.

You could use Wordpress that is the most popular CMS outhere. Other popular ones are Drupal & joomla.

Depending on how complex your designs are / and server model depends on choice of CMS to use. The ones I suggest are php based. You may also want to consider bespoke solution based on what you actually require.

What type of designs are they?

Product Catalogue?
Client Management?
Contracts / Financial?
Events / Bookings?

Where are you based?
