Job Description:

Experienced CSS and graphics designer wanted to develop user interfaces for
web-based collaboration applications. Work will be
LONG-TERM.

Designer will be responsible for specifying and building tasteful and usable
designs for web application screens and widgets. Designs will be used for
primary user interface screens, context sensitive help, modal dialogs, input
forms, and other kinds of user interaction and feedback.

Specific tasks will include helping to specify application screen and widget
content and organization, design of screen layout, appearance, and
configurability, and creation of high-quality skins.

Job Requirements
- Part-time position (long-term)
- Must be fluent in English, spoken and written
- Must be available sometime between 9am-7pm Eastern Time for 1-2 weekly
msn messenger or voice meetings (approximately 1-2 hours in length) to
discuss design issues and project status
- Must be able to communicate clearly by email
- Provide examples of past or current work
- Payment will be by bank wire transfer

Skills
- Must be capable of conceiving and creating beautiful and usable designs
- Must demonstrate good presentation and color design taste
- Must be a CSS expert
- Must be able to clearly define CSS needed for web applications
- Must be able to write modular CSS, which can be easily skinned
- Familiar with CSS 'graphics' techniques (e.g. smooth corners in CSS)
- Knowledge of browser-independent CSS (see, e.g. quirksmode.org)
- Able to create (or find) any necessary screen icons or images
