content management

yooo
i don;t know if this is right place to post this, but hey, move it if it isnt

I had tried doing PHP, then something crops up and i have to stop learning, and it goes on like that, always to busy to learn it.

But, i have a website that is quite big, and we're pgrading it to version 3, the biggest and best yet - and it needs a cms and other little php/sql bits doing to it.

Anyone up for the job?

Id prefer it if people would offer to work for free, with recognition on the site after they have done it, as the site doesn't make money. But if you desperatly need money, or some sort of reward, then it could possibly be sorted, but not mega.

The website is... Vinyl Abuse - Toy & Art Magazine

PHP programmers - HELLLP!

Moved to employment. Also, you're not going to get a very warm reception asking people to work for free.

Hahaha why would anybody work for free when they could do the same job for somebody else and get paid for it. If you're wanting a custom CMS then somebody who has the skill to create one would never work for free as they will find a paid job very easily. Maybe you should think about getting an open source cms and just follow online guides to get it to work.

Yeh- We just stuck for money at the moment, with it just being an online magazine. I mean its not some little site, we been mentioned on Pixel Surgeon, in Computer Arts magazines a few times and other magazines, and also did work for BBC. So any work done for the site, they will get recognition on the site.

Could you recommend any good open CMS?

If you're getting that kind of exposure you should put some ads up on your site to generate revenue.

I have never used one myself so I couldnt suggest one, but I do know there are many to choose from - just give it a google. Yeah i understand having your name credited to your site would be good for the cv. But a good PHP coder knows that they could get a lot of money for what your asking for.
