Just had my appriasal and the company I'm working with were well chuffed with my work output and generally happy bunnies all round and no complaints. So to reward me they decided to not even give me a cost of living rise this year "which was nice", when every bloody developer got about £5 - 7k rise about a month ago. I think the pot maybe dry..... Anyway, that aint your problem Back to it, need to finally replace my 2 year old out of date portfolio. See, i just needed the motivation! Jase

Recruitment agenices - scum, all scum...I have never had a positve experience with any of them. They all talk bullshit and have no idea of what you do or what their client requires in a candidate. Consequently every call I've had form a recruiter has never panned out- which is in stark contrast to when I initiate contact with design agencies/clients. My advice would be to get a good portfolio together and then target potentail employers yourself - find out who you should be talking to and then take it from there. Good luck. Don't get sand on your ice cream...

Generally I'd agree with you, but I have found a couple of good agencies recently and they're worth their weight in gold - more so if, like me, you're a freelancer. |
