I am elegant and sleek and I have a most accessible sense of design. I may be available to fill an in-house position but you forgot to tell me where "the area" you mention is to be found. Kindly elucidate. My free fonts www.utfi.net

My apologies - too much information for one post. Springfield, Missouri, USA is where we're located. You don't have to be based in Springfield, but if you're in the area, that'd be great. First and foremost, we need a strong designer who understands what looks good and what doesn't and how to fix that. Someone who can meet deadlines with ease, and someone looking for long term work. |

Pity. I'm pretty good at many of the things (and work habits!) you mention under Skills but I don't do my own Ajax/PHP coding. As far as this is concerned - "a designer who understands what looks good and what doesn't and how to fix it" - I've never done anything else. But usually the customer insists on drastic changes which spoil the end result so there's very little completed work which I'd ever approve for my own CV! My free fonts www.utfi.net

We've got a developer in house who deals with most of the back end stuff (asp mostly), so the PHP is negotiable. Ajax is nice, but if it is needed and you can outsource it, I don't see a problem with that. We definitely want to see examples of work a designer has done so we know what we're working with. We know how customers can be crazy, but as this is a long term position, we definitely want to see a portfolio and know more about you. |

Thanks to everyone for the replies we're getting - great stuff. We're going to wait until early next week to make a decision, so we're still accepting portfolios - please feel free to send me your info at bruce[at]kurtlin.com |
