Search for a talented web designer
Hi, I'm looking for a talented web designer to help me launch and run a potentially very profitable internet business idea. If you're interested and want to know more about it, or how to apply, then watch my video on Youtube (Lawrence Kay's search for a super-talented web designer). Thanks, Lawrence Kay |

Sounds too open ended to me. Have you done this sort of thing before? No offence meant, I'm trying to be constructive here, but in my opinion any designer/developer experienced and talented enough to build that sort of project is going to: a) Be thin on the ground b) Be busy already c) Have heard of these sort of 'promise' projects many times before and seen 99-100% of them turn into nothing. Seriously, if somebody's got enough spare time and is naive enough to be getting involved in this sort of thing, then you should seriously be doubting their abilities. I bet you've had a load of losers apply already? IMO you need a team. A designer and developer. I've yet to see someone do both jobs well and do them both better than a two-part team. Besides, it's too much for one man to think about. Secondly, IMO, you need to put your money where you mouth is. Get the funds together and approach an established company. It's the only way you're going to get a worthwhile job done. The dot-com boom was ages ago. If you expect to recruit a team off forums and make yourself a millionaire you're better off playing the lottery. |

Got to agreed with transparent_opacity. Any web/developer that can do a site to that top level will abe already very busy, and not prepared to risk probably months of work. Every single web designer who's been doing freelance for any length of time will have been approached numerous times with 'a great idea, it'll be really popular'. I'm not saying yours won't but your enthusiasm will not be enough without budget to back it up. If you have a proper budget you'd do best approach a small agency as you will get a better result. |
