Interactive Designer Required
Hi Guys, The company that a friend of mine works for has decided to bring the interactive design work that they usually use an external company for in house. So, they are looking for an interactive designer. JOB INFORMATION Job title: Interactive Designer Reporting to: Managing Director/Project Manager Salary Range: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum plus benefits Location: London JOB DESCRIPTION Purpose The main purpose of the role is to provide interactive design services for UK clients and for the company’s UK sales and marketing teams. Main Duties and Responsibilities 1. Design and production of CD-Rom and DVD projects for clients 2. Design, production, updating and maintenance of the company’s website 3. Design and production of the company’s interactive marketing tools 4. Design and production of the company’s interactive sales tools 5 .Client liaison during pitch and brief stages Contacts Internal Managing Director, Marketing Director, Project Manager External UK Clients and their creative agencies, Freelance programmers, Freelance print designers PERSON SPECIFICATION ATTRIBUTES Education/Qualifications BA in Graphic Design would be advantageous. Experience 2-4 years’ experience in CD-Rom production, DVD production, Internet based design (web, email marketing, etc), and Video editing and production for CD-Rom, DVD and Internet. Ability to make presentations to clients would be advantageous. Software skills Director (Good Knowledge of Shockwave and Lingo), Flash(Good Knowledge of ActionScript), Freehand, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver or GoLive and any commercial video editing package. Fireworks would be advantageous. Interpersonal Skills Good communication skills (both written and oral) Ability to engender confidence Ability to work with minimum supervision Time management and ability to prioritise multiple, competing tasks Able to work equally well on own initiative or in a team Able to deliver on time and to brief Personal Qualities Strong sense of self/confident Good sense of humour feel the heat.

Should be a good job - Don't think that the money is an issue IMHO - from what i have experienced over the last couple of years there are alot of jobs asking for alot more skills for alot less pay. feel the heat.
