freelance

I'm looking for advice on how to get set up as a freelancer.

I'm now living in Canada, and I'm producing work for a new company over here.
We've agreed the hourly rate, but apart from that I've not taken any steps to making it official....they have left it up to me to handle the rest.

what do I need to do?
what about tax?

Also, this job is not going to be my only source of income, as they will only need me the odd day here and there....so, I'm going to be looking for other stuff.

Ideally I'd like to work full time and do the odd bit of freelance as well.

Any advice apreciated.

cheers,
