The company pays for half of the car. Even so, it would cost me one third of my salary for the next 3 years. I hope I can get some freelance projects, though
Life is somewhat cheaper here than over there, and I earn quite big bucks for this country. But there are people (and many of those have degrees) who are glad if they can make 3k. They can hardly afford anything.

I am mainly a webdesigner, but I do identity and to some extent print-design as I'm an in-house designer. I am a CSS freak, but do ocasionally use flash. ( I have lost contact with it though lately, still need to learn some actionscript.) Anyway I'm trying to showcase that on my website but until now all i could earn from freelancing was a 30USD for a shitty website so it seems I'm not that skilled. (people around here usually run away if I ask 300 euros for an xHTML site, which means programming done by a friend, design, identity, 3 free banners, etc, etc.)

I wish I was making that much - make around £9K. Converted into USD, of course ($16K+benefits).

I know. No other jobs, though (I checked HotJobs and there were 4 - FOUR - jobs in my area - either truck drivers or janitors...and a manager at Taco Bell). Such is life in one of the poorest states in America. I'll be out of it before long.
