How do I go about getting some freelance work
Hi everyone. Im a Student at Salford University. I am studying on their BA (Hons) Graphic Design course and im starting my second year in September. Im looking to gain some experience, but im not sure how to proceed with finding contacts. I was thinking maybe I should try and get some freelance work under my belt, as i know that once ive finished my course, it may be difficult to find a job. I know that the graphic design industry is quite hard to get into because there are so many people wanting to have a career in it these days. Graphic Design is a growing indtusry, and i feel that i should be helping myself to grow with it by learning all the skills i need while im studying. I would like some advice on how to proceed with finding freelance work and finding contacts who require my services. Im into Digital Photography, and Photo manipilation. Im also quite good at Corporate Identity, and promotion. I like producing adverts, such as posters and like coming up with unusual ways to promote and advertise a product. Can anyone help. Regards Jill |
