copy domain
the story is we have a domain companyname.com and an ex employee who left (not by his own choice) has registered the .co.uk. he is trying to sell us the domain and is now pointing the domain to some naughty sites. Phoned nominet but they were useless. does anyone know of what legal action we can take seeing as the domain has our company name in it? |

The fact that an ex-employee owns a domain with the same name as the company he used to work for must be a breach of contract - if you have one? Follow DT updates on Twitter: http://twitter.com/designerstalk

The police may also consider that extortion? Ask them? Threaten him with it? Terms of his contract should also have some clause about setting up in competition to yourselves which should cover owning similar domain name. |
