I need a new host!!

I need a new host fast before I lose all my members...for a whole week now my database has been crashing and my webhost every day has giving me a different excuse each time...
my host currenlty offers me

Quote:
500MB of disk space
6GB of data transfer per month
Frontpage extensions version 2002
Unlimited POP3 mail@yourdomain.com
Unlimited mail forwarding mail@yourdomain.com
Email is filtered for Spam and Viruses.
Unlimited subdomains of your domain name
e.g. http://subdomain.yourdomain.com/
CGI-BIN directory
Control Panel
Perl 5
PHP 4
SSI (server side includes)
MySQL Database
phpMyAdmin for MySQL management
Full Telnet / SSH access
Full FTP access
Detailed visitor statistics

For 20 quid a year...but right now as I speak my site has gone down again (database)..I mean 20 quid has brought me this far, but now I don't mind paying more..cause my site is just getting some decent hits..

I've posted this in a couple of forums and have had a look at some offerings...

Here's what I've got so far....

http://www.tvghosting.com/index.html (<<--really tempting but does anyone know about them) they use paypal, is that a drawback?

What do y'all think?

Also thinking of moving latest by the end of tomorrow...what does one do when they wanna move hosts? i didnt buy my domain from them.

Thank you.

1and1.com is a good one. Might not live up to your standards. But they are doing a limited time promotion for free 3 years. They have a cool building also, very cool.

Last I heard (when I was looking around for a new host recently), 1and1 didn't give you direct access to basic, commonly available domain management facilities such as your own domains' nameserver settings.
That alone would kick them off the list (for me).
I think there was also some issue about being locked into hosting with them under certain conditions or something along those lines.
I think it was, if you want to host with them, you *have to* transfer your domain registrar handling over to them also.

Of course, if that's wrong, then feel free to correct it.
