Transfer web domain?
I'm just looking at buying a domain for a client, and having a little trouble getting the desired one. I've been asked to try and get a .com or .co.uk, but according to the domain search (123-reg) these are taken. However, although it says the ones I want are taken, it also says that they can be 'transferred', .co.uk can be transferred for free, and .com can be transferred for .com. What does this mean? WIll I be able to use them? Cheers |

It means if you are the current owner of them you can transfer them over to 123-reg so you can manage them in their control panel, and obviously pay them to renew it. If you don't own the domain name, then you can't transfer it over. |
