for ease of use get a .com if you tell someone that its whatever.us, they only tend to remember the whatever part and stick .com on the end. trust me, its gonna be hard enough getting people to the site, without having that little hurdle trip them at the end. i know from experience - my website is seanmedia.co.uk and everyone i tell verbally goes to seanmedia.com which is owned by some tool who claims to be a designer too. |

Local search is big. If you customers are world wide, then a non specific TLD like a .com or .net address will fare better, if your market is local then a country specific domain is going to work out cheaper and just as, if not more, effective. |
