Domain pointing

Hi

As our web admin guy is on holiday I have just been asked to upload a website to our own server, which i have done, but the client has bought a domain name with 123-reg and I have to point that domain at the site on our server, and I don't have a clue how to do this.

I have logged onto 123-reg using the clients login details but it was all double dutch to me

Can anyone describe the process of pointing a domain or point me towards a guide online?

Thanks

There should be a setting in your domain control panel at 123-reg that's labeled "Set Nameservers" or something similar. Could be DNS too.

Then you'll need the nameservers, as Redge says. Typically, these will appear like "ns1.yourwebhost.com" and "ns2.yourwebhost.com".
