Recommendations for Web Hosting???

Does anybody have suggestions for a good web host to use? And reasonably priced? I already have a domain name through namesecure.com I am considering using them, but didn't know if there was a better choice.

Thanks.

I think you're fine.

I've used www.asmallorange.com - great service and support for a low price.

Have you ever tried cancelling an account with them? Be prepared to fill out paperwork, fax it to them, prove your identity, etc.

heh, no. i left the project before i had to that, and apparently, thank god for that. i had the same problem with 'b-one' though (a danish company) wich didnt let me cancel without paying a year more, and then cancel it atleast 3 months before the next pay date. wich were a problem itself since their customers service take a months to answer, if they do at all, and are anything but nice.

1 and 1 for me. both for system provided and support.

Had to ask them for help a couple of times. Turned out on both occasions it was me being stupid but they still did what was needed to my server without making me feel stupid! At least not to my face.

Have fun cancelling your account if you need to. Hope you didn't register any domains with them - they ... don't like to let them go.

about £4 a month if you pay 2yrs up front for 2GB of multi-domain hosting and 30GB bandwidth on a shared server, and their uping the space and bandwidth in the near future at no extra cost.

I'm quite sure there is cheaper out there but I was sick of my previous host's shitty uptime and so far i've had no downtime or lag with MT.

Cheers Max.
Having the same issues with my current host.
I don't think the £48 yr is a lot to ask at all, especially if MT have a good service record.

I'm on ASmallOrange.com right now, which have been good. A few downtimes, but that's no big deal for me. Probably switching over to a reseller account with Surpass Hosting - $15/month for 15GB space/75GB bandwidth and they also give your main account the same space (15GB) and 10GB of bandwidth on top of that. My friend is a reseller there and has had a good experience. They do have some bad reviews floating around, though.

I use wiserhosting.com for most of mine.
you don't get massive disc space or bandwidth - but sufficient for everything I've ever needed.

and they've got fantastic support. i even got telephone support on a bank holiday !!

well recommended.

1 & 1 are to be avoided ...

I'm with www.livingdot.com - amazing support. Never had any problems with them at all. All my support questions (not that there have been many) have been answered within 30 mins
