rails hosting
recommendations or suggestions please. I currently have a couple of accounts with segment publishing which I'm completely happy with. but I could really do with an account that lets me set up and manage multiple accounts. are there any affordable managed dedicated servers offering ruby/rails as standard yet? |

I've just up for a shared hosting package with Textdrive and they have loads of great features but I can't really comment on reliability yet. They do offer dedicated services but I think you will need to contact them. Otherwise, the other popular Rails hosts seem to be Dreamhost and Planet Argon Luke Redpath .::. Software Engineer .::. The host I use - A Small Orange has RoR installed on shared accounts now. Not sure about dedicated, but you can install it yourself, since you have control of your own server. |

I'm probably bumping this thread way up - but if you look at a Rails Hosting Comparison Chart, Dreamhost blows all the other Rails hosts out of the water in terms of space, domains, and bandwidth. Tip: use the dreamhost promo code 50OFFRAILS to get $50 instantly knocked off your bill for any of their plans. Cheers, ~William |
