Post trailers.

New Pixar movie. Looks like it was made by dreamworks, doesn't seem like a good choice after making another shitty cars movie.

The scenery looks very pretty though.

    It's no airstream tho.

I want to see how they are getting on with WWZ but the only trailer I could find was cut footage from a zombie crowd sequence and some un'official' scamps.

It's good but it's hard not to hate everyone in it. Also, they only focus on (American) indie developers who ended up making very successful games.

Moonrise Kingdom is sitting on my PVR waiting for a day when my fiancée isn't home, she doesn't like the same movies I do once we get away from the standard action fair.

Creepy is about the perfect word to describe the people in this show, but I love this stuff. The story is a bloody cliffhanger every week and the character development is amazing considering the show is only 6 episodes old now.

You're quite the disturbing man, Calder. lol All the shows at the beginning of the year debut as science fiction. I just try to hang on there until spring or summer, when my regular shows come back. I can't stomach most of the shit Hollywood produces.

ha. Some of my fondest memories from childhood are from Saturday afternoons watching terrible B movies with my father. Zombies, giant tarantulas living in caves outside the city, Amazon women from the Moon... I had no choice, Dad brainwashed me =D

I've got probably 10 years on your oldest teenager, but even as a kid I fucking hated those films. Jurassic Park had me in tears. I only just watched the entirety of the first film back during Xmas. There's a few older science fiction movies I enjoy, but those cheesy horror films aren't something I'd indulge in.

That is a fantastic trailer. And Hans Zimmer's score is fucking badass. If the quality of that brief sample is any indicator, it's going to make his Dark Knight work look elementary.

It also appears they've got a really creative origin for Superman, as he's the one "free" person in a race of genetically engineered people. Well, that's actually well-trodden territory, but for Superman it's kind of groundbreaking.

  • Pugsley

I like Will Smith. Grew up watching him on Fresh Prince. One of the few Rap albums my parents let me buy cause he wasn't shouting a swear word every two seconds. Loved Men in Black, Independence Day, The Pursuit of Happiness. Don't know how you could say he has no talent.

And his kid is like 14. Give him a chance. But then again, he has done a remake of a classic, The Karate Kid (which I'll admit was never going to be better, but was still a good movie) and of course he was also in Pursuit of Happiness.

    Independence Day

Look, I'll get jiggy with it with the best of them & he sings a song about my shitty that's pretty catchy -- I should have clarified his music is safe for all ages and I respect that. BUT... he and Jim Carrey can sail off into an abysmal hell for over-actors for all I care. It's so frustrating to watch him accentuate every facial expression to the nth degree and place extra emphasis on every word to the point where it just becomes unbearable. For pure entertainment, he's fine in movies like Bad Boys, iRobot (iRobot 2 recently announced, btw) and I Am Legend was a lot of fun. Pay closer attention in the movies you mention, though...besides Independence Day which is just a joke of a good film...and you'll see what I mean.

    Hey, if you like 'im...great!

I met him twice in the late 80s (he died in 1991). He was a scrawny, shy and rather ugly man, but a fantastic draughtsman. In addition to his "dirty pictures" as he called them, he could produce portraiture of near photographic accuracy and detail. A very great talent.
