Just bought it. Will have a bash now!

Fuck me. This is class. Wish it gave you a preview of your shots without having to come out of the app and check photos. All the different combination of flashes and lenses is cumworthy, though.

The iPhone and iPod Touch has a Hipstamatic app.

Having spent a large part of my working life making sure colour errors don't spoil process film, tv, video and print, I HATE seeing that sort of thing done deliberately. It's the visual equivalent of taking top quality ingredients but turning them into a soggy hamburger.

I love old photo's. The colours, dodgy lenses, mixed responses from cross processing and vignettes. It's all a bit false to do it this way of course - but appeals to my nostalgic side.

I have a couple of polaroids and the colours I get straight from the film are wicked. They're not true to life, but I sort of hate that about straight up digital images in truth. They lack any joy.

I have to come clean, it's not Hipstamatic, it's me farting around with PS.

But the photo is of an abandoned factory in Prague which has had some intriguing sculptures hung on its side.

    063.jpg

    066.jpg

And some totally unrelated artwork on another wall of the factory.

I like the new profile page type thing.

Here's some nice bits of inspiration and generally nice photos from people I follow:
Emil's doodles Hope you don't mind me posting
    One of my mates
A lot of every-day-life-shyte, but some nice type and illustration quite often
    Shapes
    Bins and things
    Work in progress
    Colours
    London Underground

    And here's are some dogs:
    Boss
    Porky

If anyone has any good suggestions of people to follow who post nice design stuff, please let me know.

Living in whisky land I'm pretty lucky. I can get good whisky quite cheaply. Got one of these in the cupboard - only cost me 20 quid.

A lot of people do actually. Thing is managers specials only come out once a year and are staff only purchases. They are only allowed to buy a couple of bottles at a time and give one to friends or family but they are not allowed to sell them for 2 years (the bottles are actually numbered).

Just found one that was sold at Bonhams last year for only £700. Not a bad price rise but still hoping it will climb a little more. Still a few places retailing it. Only 400 bottles so hoping it does become a rare one. Shame it wasn't a single malt.
