The design that missed the boat

Alright guys, I am back from my holiday now. I left my design for the last competition at work and unfortunately missed the entry deadline for the competition.

But having now retrieved it I thought I would show you anyway for those that were interested . . .

[img:db0377ad5c]http://www.coldswell.com/images/designerstalk.gif[/img:db0377ad5c]

When is the new design going to be implemented? I was looking forward to seeing it when I came back.

Nice design but it looks the spit of Oli's 'cept for the header. You even know pete, john and Dave!

Oli, you're just a slag for anything oriental.

(edit - I'm talking about web design, not making assumptions about your personal life.. )

Yeah, I really like it. I've played around with chinese and japanese letters alot as well. Just typing in mundane english words can have great looking results.
The fact that I love kung fu films/merchandice probably also helps.

[quote:c2a6d796b1]I love kung fu films/merchandice [/quote:c2a6d796b1] - you cant beat Jackie Chan in my book ; not his hollywood crap but the PoliceStory series etc. I love the bit as the end credits roll you see how many injuries he got making the film!
I think my Japanese thing may come from Nintendo as I grew up with mario and luigi , if I had a sega instead I might love american stuff

http://www.gingkopress.com/_cata/_grap/neut001.htm - if I could justify $50 for a magazine I'd get this.

i get that magazine - it rocks

also i should point out that typing english words in japanese character sets can sometimes be quite dangerous.

Be careful especially in commercial designs (ie online communities) you never know who is reading it.
