LOGO and CSS redesign - win £100 cash and reseller web hosting worth a total £398

Hi Everyone,

Redesign Seiretto a new logo and a single CSS file and get a chance to win £100 cash and £298 worth of reseller web hosting:
http://www.seiretto.com/featuredsite...o-redesign.php

I will post to that page all suitable designs along with your URL.

I hope to get as many new designs as possible within the next few days, or couple of weeks, as I would like to give the prize away before Christmas.

If you are a designer please have a go soon, then I can give away the prize to someone for xmas

If you do not think this is good value then please DO NOT apply (or post a reply here).

Please note:
If you submit your Logo design - you must have the original in as a vector graphic and you must be able to supply this original art work in .eps (Encapsulated PostScript) format. Not just a .jpg file.

We have received several submissions but when asked if they are able to provide the original vector graphic (if they are the winning entry then this is a requirement) they can not provide it in .eps format.

So please ensure you are able to provide your design in a .eps format.

(to enter you only need to provide the logo in .jpg format, the .eps will only be required from the winning entry).

Many Thanks for having a go, and good luck ;-)

We now have our first valid entry

If entering please ensure you are able to supply the original art work in .eps (Encapsulated PostScript) format, which is a requirement for acceptance of your entry.

Its not too late to enter, please submit your entry soon...

So you're giving everyone less time but more money, still seems a way of making sure you don't get excellent design work. (And I'm using your request to give opinions of the entries received to reflect my distaste for this method of attempting to get cheap design work.)

Though in fairness Lemuria's seems the most modern and fresh, but as they've just used one of their own pre-existing template's (worth $45 dollars apparently) you're not paying for originality, and others may end up with the same design.

And charliearalph's design seems very similar to it but a bit all over the place as he's tried shoehorning all your pre-existing content into it.

But then if you insist on trying to get a lovely site and identity this way you're never going to get something like Site5 or (mt) Media Temple.

The fact you're offering dollars on a site full of British people probably sums up how much you love the exchange rate right now too. Sorry for sounding slightly poisonous but I did give my opinions on the submissions you've received.

God this is the competition that just keeps on giving, I was at first disheartened that you had some niceish designs contributed now but less so now I see they're templates, its become a game of who can rip who off for most now

"The Sixth Design" - $68 (assuming they bothered buying it and didn't just rip it off)

Got bored of looking for the other templates used, maybe they're real... I'd guess not though

It's also quite amusing how no-one has followed the brief for the logo.

So is the competition still running?
Reading back, your brief comes across as a little confusing.
Are you looking for 2 x logos (S4Hosting & S4Servers) or a single logo design for Seiretto with the wording for both S4Hosting & S4Servers next to it? Or three individual logos in a single style?

I left it a little openended to see what turned up, but basically what is required in a single logo that will fit all 3 sites.

Hope that makes it a bit clearer, and thanks for your comment.

Dave.

instead of everytime someone posts an advert / competition / free shite - he / she recieves a tirade of abuse - why not ignore it if it annoys you.

You consider that a tirade? I would hardly say I have trawled the competitions forum giving out abuse... This is the only thread I've commented in, and I've not even been particularly unpleasant.

Especially when compared to the abuse some people give instead of C&C here, I didn't comment in it until he asked for feedback anyway, I offered my thoughts on the work he had received, and pointed out that some of the contributions were templates, and the reason he was getting templates submitted.

I'd have said calling it free shite was actually more insulting than I've been in the whole thread. :P

I am kind of surprised sub would support this wonderful behaviour by contributing though I guess.
