Ha Ha! Same here. I love my 80's casio digital, it looks cool and retro and I don't care if it gets lost or stolen 'cos I'll just buy another. Drew it up in Max when I was learning 3D. Now that's what I call a watch

I have a TAG Heuer, and love it to death like the yuppie scum I am. However, I think nothing beats a Casio digital when it comes to budget cool. I was at the department store last week and a Casio caught my eye. What's awesome is how un-designed they are. They're complete anachronisms, kinda like Members Only jackets. Brands like Nixon have models that ape the look of the Casio, but the charm is lost, since it's too self concious.

Thanks for reminding me. Next pay day I'm getting one!

I got an amazing casio-lookalike from ebay the other week and it turns on and off TVs, and Video's and changes channels etc. History teacher can't understand why Simon Schama keeps turning off.

Hey guys after all your remarks, I just thought I would post this to make it clear for you:

The web design contest is still running and it WON'T be cancelled.

The aim of the contest is to create a FAN site. We acknowledge that it was not really clear at first so we corrected it on TAGHeuer.com : "the website will be separate from www.tagheuer.com and dedicated to brand fans"

The rules are not very specific, that's a fact. So please respect the main lines:
- site must be online
- "TAG" , "Heuer" or "TAGHeuer" : these terms are not allowed in the URL
- 10 pages at least (pages with different content - understand that for a site built in flash, we won't only count HTML pages)
- Entries deadline is december 31st 2005

and then do as you want. Express your creativity. This contest is open to everyone.

Here is the page on TAG Heuer.com where you can read more about the contest (Headlines>Event section)

http://www.tagheuer.com/whatsnew/events.lbl?mode=Detail&region=International&news

Good luck to all!

To follow up - I decided not to enter the contest and boy what a mistake that was.

The winning sites were posted up on TAG Heuer's site for a very short time, and the winners were a small crop of mental retards who designed some really horrendous GeoCities kind of stuff.

It would have taken one evening of half-assed work to show these guys up. DAMNIT!
