How much should I charge for freelancing?

Someone with that exact question decided to a bit of research

People need to stop it with slow transitions on hover.

I do think that is partly bullshit, theres no way I would pay a burnt out 45+ year old designer/developer £450 a day when you could pay a bright young whipper snapper half that and get probably a better job done.

Age and experience doesn't always equal better results in this game

On the other hand...I have seen the abominations that young whipper snapper uni graduates have done and by God...they show a serious lack of experience that only time and erm..experience can deliver.

Sounds about right to me.

It's not just about quality of results; older freelancers are less prone to doing disappearing acts, throwing strops for no reason and massively underestimating the amount of time it takes to do things.

Fair point, but that can be negated with good management to some extent

I disagree to quite a large extent with that, probably because I'm getting older

Hmmm...

Let's see what your view is when you're 45 mate and wanting to be paid properly for your level of experience.

Numbers are flawed, instead of an average they should have used a median

Depends on expeirence.. You could just be starting out and not know the whole process what so ever, you could even be in the game for 5 years and suck ass lol. Charge what you want..you have bills to pay and if this is your only source of income then calculate how many projects you need to get x $ a month.
