paypal trader
i want to sell a few items on my website but nothing which is likely to bring in much money. i therefore am thinking of just using the payPal "buy it now" buttons which enable people to pay by credit card without the hassle for me. i just wondered if anyone knew the legal issues involved here. eg. do i need to consider VAT or anything. aint ever sold anything from a site before so its new ground for me any other suggestions for methods of selling online are welcome cheers ::: TC Magazine :::

Paypal should do the trick. If you want something a bit more professional you could go with worldpay, they charge setup fees though. You have to be VAT registered to charge VAT so I wouldnt worry about it. |

NOPE - if you don't charge the customer VAT you don't pay it. Simple. Nothing more to see here. Please move along folks. Income Tax is where you'll get your arse shafted (not as much if you walk into your local Kwik Fit) e.g. if you start putting too many cheques into your personal account. |
