How am I a douchebag? Read everything I posted, I know what I did was wrong, I took it down immediately, the copyright at the bottom was just for show because his site had one and I planned to sell nothing by pretending what he did was mine. All aboard the bandwagon |

Mate, you were intending to sell your services using his work. Now I thought you were 'taking responsibility' for what you have done. Claiming that you weren't intending to sell something using his work, when you stated earlier in this thread that you WERE intending to sell something (your services) using his work, isn't really taking responsibility, is it. |

Well, I'd like to ask you to show me (or at least tell me, since the sites down) where I had asked for any money using his design. The sites I have done or are working on were all done for free or for a donation, if you want to get technical with it. Quote:
Nah I didn't even get that at all. |

Apples and oranges man, apples and oranges. And yes, Nick, you were trying to make money from another persons design. I don't know what your major malfunction is, but as a designer, yooouu sellll yoursellllfff wiiitth yooouuurr woooorrk. This means, the work you claim that was yours, you were using to sell yourself. When in all actuality, it never belonged to you. That is very very bad, Nicholas, very very bad. |

Man I've done one site for someone else and the design on it is 100% my own. He payed me a whopping $20 for it. edit: and you can ask all the fine DT people how long that site was up and they'll tell you it was a hell of a lot longer than the glixe site, new guy |

You said I tried to sell working using his design. Not true. Nowhere on my site was anything about money or prices or "please hire me" or anything like that, and the only thing I have done for money, the Back to the Basics was put up well before I learned how to code a site like jg9's (thats why people on here were talking about me needing to step my game up) so what you are saying isn't true at all. |

Just because it doesn't have a dollar sign in front of it doesn't mean you weren't using it to sell yourself. By you showing that poor lady your website and claiming it as your own, you were using it to make money, someway, somehow- that was your main intention. I never put prices on my site either. But I have my work sell me. And that's what you were trying to do. But then you got caught. |

Exactly. The whole point of your site was to portray yourself as a designer, and a design company. If the goal of a site like that isn't to have people purchase your services, then please enlighten us on what it was. Particularly since you said straight out in this thread that you wanted to leave it up for the client to see, so she would get your services. |

No, using his code is one thing I did not do. If you look back at his cost, he said about once a week some stupid fucker posts a site just like his and actually does use his code. If anything I used the physical appearance of the site and typed up the corresponding code. |
