i may be getting sued
I done a design for mitie business group, its on my portfolio of work, they just found me up and gave me an ear bashing. I am thinking fuck erm.. its my portfolio I should be aloud to show my work, they asked me to do it in the first place... |

Just take it out, did you do this freelance or for your employer ? If its for your employer I'd defo take it out, you dont want to cause them any shit do you ? ..................

you don't say on your portfolio that its not a live site. i'd take it out. you've got no right to show something branded with their logo if its not what they authorised. you could show it as a concept but you'd have to remove the text and their logo. |

If it was a pitch can you not just say so? I see a lot of agency sites that have concept work listed in their portfolio. However this is probably with the consent of the person/company the work was pitched to. Don't be so defensive and try to work a way round it. Ascertain their reasons for not wanting it there but also point out how important it is for you, as a young designer, to have a good portfolio of work. Express how much time you spent on the design etc. That's my sensible answer. Andrew Parker

anyways I am off home now, after removing all mitie's names from my work, I have also been told I should remove all names and logos from my website. I am not one for going with the rules so that wont be happening unless I get a court order... I am still second in google ha ha... Dont know how long google take to make the changes.. stuff erm. |
