Best way of approaching a potential client

I have recently completed a site for a client of mine and while doing so I got a list of 9 or so people my client works with for testimonials. I called all that I could get ahold of and out of 9, I have one person that might be interested in a website. He said he was worried about the cost and I briefly explained to him that it is pretty affordable (we are talkign about a builder of 250-500k homes) and what the associated costs are. He told me to call back in a week. My question is what is the best way to approach this. I was thinking about sending him a letter with my website and references and putting together a few packages based on other builders websites in the area. My hope was that he would read it, then I could call back and schedule an appointment. This would be my first client who hasn't really directly come to me, so any input on how to handle this would be appreciated.
